The aim of the research is to adapt the Mentoring Competency Assessment-MCA scale into Turkish and determine their psychometric properties. The research was performed with 161 research assistants and 165 faculty members working at all faculties and vocational schools of higher education in Health Sciences Institute in a state university. The Mentor and Mentee Form of this scale have 7-point likert type including 26 items and six sub scales. Mentor and Mentee form CFA analysis indicated that the scale had an acceptable goodness of fit. In conclusion, both forms of the scale are a valid and reliable instrument for assessing the mentoring competence of faculty members. It is suggested that the faculty members working in different faculties should be preferred and the results should be compared with the existing scale results.
