With no doubts entrepreneurship provides success to a company, because it means an ability of a person to notice gaps at the market, projecting future, looking for changes and responding to it, and using it for social and economic innovations. It is connected with introducing non-conventional, innovative solutions of a varying extent and at vari-ous areas of a company. Effects of entrepreneurial actions can be manifested by e.g. an improvement of a company image or innovations, which constitute, at the same time, a cause of changes occurring in a given time. Thus entrepreneurship can be measured by ef-fectiveness assessment because an effect in a form of a defined benefit is a result of it. An improvement of effectiveness and productivity of a company manifests itself directly as its ability to undertake competitive struggle at the market. On the other hand an ability to gain and maintain a long-term competitive advantage requires a necessity of constant in-novations and looking for new solutions, both as far as a product and organization are concerned. To assess entrepreneurship of an enterprise in the innovation area one can ac-cordingly use available data from accountancy of bodies, describing achieved economic outcomes and costs. The recommended method of researching entrepreneurship of the en-terprise has its advantages and disadvantages. To advantages one accounts its simplicity and explicitness of gathered data. All data used in this method are based upon information from books of accounts (balance sheets) and the standard financial documentation. On the other hand the ambiguity of terms’ definitions, i.e. naming the same values, being elements of as-sets and resources difficult to measure, such as organizational culture of an enterprise, philosophy of operations, relations with environment or creativity, intuition, experience of employees consti-tute the disadvantage of this method.
