This study investigates parental mediation of online media activities of children in Nigeria: A parent-child approach. The sample included 1,270 children and their parents. Data were obtained through questionnaire from children aged 13–18 years old and their parents aged 25–55 years. Findings of the study show stronger associations between the reports of parents and children, in the case of restrictive mediation and active mediation. Some of the found associations were positive, this indicates more mediation result in more risky activities. The implications of the findings are discussed.
