Personal archival fond of the NAS of Ukraine academician A. O. Lebediev in the Institute of Archival Studies of Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine

Abstract

The article covers a personal archival fond of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine academician A. O. Lebediev, deposited at the Institute of Archival Studies of Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine. We have revealed the history of the fond formation and presented a review of its documents divided into main topic sections. We have also analyzed their generic spectrum and the contents of different documental groups. We have proved that A. O. Lebediev personal documents complex is of high informational value and can be used as a source base for scientific research in the history of academic science development in Ukraine, more specifically, the scientific field of mechanics, professional scientific cooperation and scientific relationship of the NAS of Ukraine, the NAS of Ukraine leading scientists’ contribution to the system of academic staff training. Separate groups of sources will certainly provoke biography researchers’ interest.
