The purpose of the study is to adapt the Group Work Contribution Scale, Which was developed for use as a self-assessment at the conclusion of a group project into Turkish Culture and investigate the psychometric properties of the scale. The research was conducted with a total of 497 prospective teachers during the Spring Semester of 2016-2017 Academic Year. In order to examine the construct validity of the scale, exploratory factor analysis was applied to the data collected from 325 prospective teachers. Then, confirmatory factor analysis was applied on a different data set collected from 172 teacher candidates. As a result of the validity and reliability studies, a 3-dimensional (effort-responsibility-supportive behavior) structure consisting of 14 items was obtained. The final 14-item scale for Group Work Contribution was confirmed via model fit indices. As a result it may be suggested that the Turkish version of the Group Work Contribution Scale is a valid and reliable instrument which can be used to determine prospective teachers’ conribution the group work.
