Development of Discussion Text Teaching Materials Using “ Dick And Carey Model”
Abstract
Teaching materials are one of the learning resources that are a very important part of the learning process in schools to help understand a concept, procedure, theory and practice. Not only that, the interaction between teachers and students is not only through face-to-face relationships but also using teaching materials. The benefits of teaching materials in learning are so that students can take part in learning optimally and help facilitate understanding of the material. The models and procedures used in the development of teaching materials are the Dick and Carey model. In the trial implementation, 1) Initial stage, review with colleagues, 2) Second stage, review with material content experts, 3) Third stage, review with learning design experts, 4) Fourth stage, small group test 5) Fifth stage test medium group trials 6) And the last stage, field trials, namely large group trials. The type of development data is in the form of qualitative and quantitative. The type of qualitative data is in the form of input, responses and suggestions. Meanwhile, quantitative data was obtained by conducting product trials for small groups, medium groups and large groups using an assessment questionnaire. The average percentage of the design expert trial results is 93.6%, the material content expert trial results average percentage is 94.3%, the peer-to-peer trial results have an average percentage of 92.4%, the small group trial results have an average percentage of 88 .7%, the average percentage of the results of the medium group trials is 90% and the results of large group or field trials with an average percentage of 90%.
