Given the complexity of foot and ankle deformities, 3-dimensional printing has a definite role in helping Orthopedic surgeons better appreciate patient specific anatomy and interactions between the bony articulations, offering solutions with customized implants and patient specific instrumentation. We report a case where three-dimensional (3D) printing technology was used in reconstruction of a complex malunited calcaneal fracture in foot and ankle surgery. To our knowledge, this is the first reported case utilizing 3D printing technology to aid deformity correction for chronic malunited calcaneal fractures. 3D printing is a promising aide to the Foot and Ankle surgeon in reconstructing complex deformities.Statement of informed consent: Informed consent was granted by the patient for data collection and submission of details for publication prior to the initiation of this report.
