The inspection of foreign ships in Croatian ports

Abstract

The inspection of foreign ships in Croatian ports is according to Paris Memorandum of Understanding on Port State Control. Accepting Memorandum, the inspection is taken to higher level. Our inspectors are connected with the inspections in the other Europeen countries, and they use the same procedure, datebase and regular forms. Making equal and coordinate inspections of ships, safety at sea, marine environmental protection and working and living conditions increase. Inspectors have informations and results about last inspections, so they avoid unnecessary repetition and inspections become more quality and effective.
