The opening of archaeological laboratory in the “Dipartimento di Storie e Metodi per la Conservazione dei Beni Culturali“ means an important stage in the way of Phoenician and Punic studies. The integration of excavation activities with diagnostic and conservative interventions on archaological finds is well connected with an interdisciplinary target. This proceeding agrees with the direction of researches carried out in the Tharros tofet since 1970 and is of primary importance regarding the didactic offer.
