This article revises the different positions adopted by the groups of countries in the negotiations of the last Round of the WTO –the Doha Round-. In spite of been several disagreements, we will point out the agricultural and non agricultural market access areas. The groups of countries in dispute refer to the developed countries –mainly the European Union and the United States- and the developing countries –among which are emphasized Brazil, South Africa and India-. Finally, in the final reflections we point out the importance of the OMC as a forum of commercial negotiations and the need of an effective south-south cooperation in specific areas, based on the harmonization of the interests among the poorest states.
