Nations and their states resemble organisms born, growing, stagnating and collapsing like stages of human life. Of these phases, growth and collapse have consequences that go beyond the borders of the country. These results reveal to the security complex in the relevant geographic area. In the study carried out within the framework of this hypothesis, the threats that may occur during the rise and collapse periods of the states and the Regional Security Complex that these threats may reveal are discussed through the example of Somalia. The aim of the study is to contribute to foreign policy strategies and literature within the framework of the threats that may arise from the strengthening or collapse of one of the geographically close states and the possible measures against these threats. In the first part of the study, the Regional Security complex is examined in a conceptual and theoretical framework. In the second part, Somalia's political and socioeconomic ground and the processes of gaining power and collapse on this ground are mentioned. In the third part, the threats posed by these processes and the regional security complex formed by the reflection of these threats on the countries of the region are evaluated.
