ASSESS THE COST AND PROFITABILITY OF RASPBERRY PRODUCTIONUNDER COVER IN THE CONTEXT OF BUILDING COMPETITIVEADVANTAGE ON EXAMPLE OF SELECTED FARM
Abstract
The purpose of the study was the comparison of productioncosts and profitability of dessert raspberry undercover in Poland in the years 2015-2016. Investment expenditures for the establishment of raspberry plantations undercover were wery high, an average of 337.6 thousand PLN/ha. Total direct costs of raspberry production (includingtunnel and plantation depreciation) amounted to an average of 142.00 thousand PLN/ha. The most profitable was thecultivation of raspberry Sokolica on polyethylene mulches (the gross margin amounted to 200.4 thousand.PLN/ha),the least varieties of Laszka, without mulches – only 8.1 thousand. PLN/ha. The research found that the production ofraspberries under cover can be profitable.
