Novas dicções no campo literário brasileiro: Patativa do Assaré e Carolina Maria de Jesus
Abstract
Departing from the works Inspiração nordestina(1956), by Patativa do Assaré, and Quarto dedespejo(1960), by Carolina Maria de Jesus, we try to investigate the mechanics of legitimation and delegitimation employed in the power play in Brazilian literary field. This article aims, so,to raise an initial critical agenda related to the nature of literatures that are called "popular",or its character of testimony, due to their social origin and/or the social stand point of their authors and the challenges they meet in their insurgency in the literary field.
