Abstract
This article summarizes the main conclusions of a study conducted in 2017 on the editorial practices and digital distribution of art history journals published in France. It defends the hypothesis that the lack of visibility often suffered by these journals should be linked to another invisibility: that of images, which are difficult to reproduce (especially online) because of related image rights.
