O ENSINO RELIGIOSO NAS ESCOLAS PÚBLICAS DO BRASIL: DISCURSO E PODER FRENTE AO PLURALISMO RELIGIOSO
Abstract
The religious teaching in Brazil currently redefines itself under the aegis of religious pluralism. The restructuring process in the religious teaching surpasses the discussion about the Catholic hegemony in the country. This benchmark becomes evident in the construction of an discourse on religious teaching, articulated by specialists who range from an emphasis on either the confessional aspects or another phenomenological one by approach. In Paraná, this clash acquires polarized characteristics, one hand the leading religious institution discourse and on the other hand the práxis of the teachers who act in public schools in primary education. Hence it is considered that thee initiative to democratize the knowledge will not alone solve the problems with religious prejudice and intolerance. Associated with the knowledge expansion on the religious phenomenon a revision of the religious leaders' positioning is needed facing the community and of the civil institutions of the religious teaching.
