Studying tribotechnical characteristics of plain bearings of artillery pieces
Abstract
Background. Predicting the resource of friction units, starting from the design stages, should be based on probabilistic models. During the design process, designers must make a reasonable guess about the technical characteristics that the product will have. In relation to the stages of operation and overhaul, the predicted indicator should be an individual residual resource characterizing the operating time of an artillery gun from the moments of technical diagnosis or instrumental fault detection to the limit state. Materials and methods. With the use of an automated laboratory complex, studies were carried out on the wear of plain bearings. At the same time, new patterns of wear were revealed. Results. Taking into account the results of the wear of laboratory plain bearings of guidance drives of self-propelled howitzers, the results of predicting the operation to failure in terms of wear of friction units of art. Conclusions. The results obtained allow to identify probable parametric failures, types of technical condition and probable residual operating time to failure of plain bearings of guidance drives, taking into account the intensity of their wear, without the involvement of highly qualified specialists.
