Janina Pudełek (1930–2004)

Abstract

A memoir about Professor Janina Pudełek (1930–2004), who was primarily concerned with ballet in her many years of critical and research activities. The author emphasizes her contribution to the development of research on the history and aesthetics of ballet, as well as the importance of her documentation work carried out at the Theater Museum in Warsaw, where she was responsible for the musical scenes department and processed the opera and ballet collections. Brief mention is also made of significant works on ballet history and aesthetics that she left in manuscript.
