Several factors account to the development of a region, among them the installed infrastructure, the capability to generation of employment and income and link with the market circuits. In the case of production frontiers of energy, hydroelectric installation, in addition to the negative interferences, promote diversification of economic activities and the integration of peripheral regions to the dynamic environments of the economy at the national level. This research has as objective to analyze, in the economic field, if the transfer of revenues from building and power generation, compensates the loss of productive activities in the territories of the twelve counties surrounding hydroelectric reservoir Foz do Chapecó, located in the Uruguay River (between RS and SC). In terms of methodology it was considered secondary quantitative data from three subperiods of municipal revenues: January 2005 to December 2006 (prior to installation of hydroelectric interference), January 2007 to August 2010 (subperiod of hydroelectric installing); September 2010 to December 2012 (initial subperiod of power generation), coupled with qualitative research in loco, with municipal public agents. Observed that the municipal recipe suffer several positive variations during the installation of hydroelectric and posterior stabilized. The contribution of the Share Part of Financial Compensation Water Resources is systemic, meantime, does not priority channeled for directly affected areas, located at rural municipal spaces, unlike, are widespread in all municipal secretaries.
