Managing business processes (Business Process Management) - BPM is widely accepted innovative organizational and managerial process in developed countries. The concept of business process management has its own organizational and IT side that our practice slowly adopts. There are more reasons for the slow introduction of BPM among our companies but we shall allocate two as basic: one is the lack of theoretical knowledge about the concept and the other is the inadequate interpretation of the concept by teams and groups which carry out standardization and reorganization. The concept is based on the definition of basic business processes, in terms of customers or clients, which have resulted in a product or service that the market demands. The concept requires a systematic theoretical and applicable presentation of the concept to the top management of the company as well as the interpretation of the benefits of efficient management. The paper will briefly indicate the proper methodological approach to defining the basic business processes, planning, designing and modeling of these processes.
