Dare to change: innovation and transformation of education

Abstract

When Mercedes Muñoz-Repiso and F.Javier Murillo from the Educational Research and Documentation Center of the Ministry of Education proposed to organize the 18th International Congress on School Effectiveness and Improvement (ICSEI 2005), contradictory thoughts came to mind. The first reaction was that we did not accept his invitation, because we had organized other international congresses and we knew what a task of this magnitude meant for university professors with limited resources and support from their own university.
