Socioscientific conflictive in science education: propositions to biolow and human dignity
Abstract
The scientific enterprise has not impartial, objective, free from controversies and/or contradictory elements. Rather, it is permeated by values and interests. The socioscientific issues are shown in the "products" resulting from interactions between Science, Technology and Society (STS), entering in the field of conflictive. In this article we present the results of a research work that led by the question: what elements are evoked by undergraduates of Natural Sciences course, in the apprehension of the multiple events of socioscientific nature of the film “My sister’s keeper”? The research was qualitative modality, and relied on two sources of evidence, namely: (1) a structured interview (projective mode) and (2) the unsystematic observation. The filmic narrative contributed to the problematization of ideas and values allocated in what we term, at the same time, of Human Rights, among others, a profitable possibility to the teaching related to Bioethics.
