Diversity of animal is one of the subjects taken by students majoring in Biology at the University of Malang. Based on the observation result, the learning of this course is done through the practicum and discussion - presentation, and found some problems that are 1) the student is wrong to draw the observation object, 2) the data collected is not in accordance with the observation, 3) the individual work student in the group, 4) Collecting assignments, and 5) students not following lecturer's instructions. The problem is related to the process skill and scientific attitude of the student which is expected to be overcome with the implementation of Guided Inquiry based on lesson study. The result of the research shows that the application of guided inquiry model can improve the students process skill with the average value of classical process skill in the first cycle of 88.87 and in the second cycle of 94.43, and can improve the scientific attitude with the average value of classical scientific attitude on Cycle I of 82.22 and in cycle II of 93.49.
