La Religión, ¿constructora de paz en la globalización?
Abstract
La religión posee un papel ambiguo en el mundo globalizado: de un lado puede ser legitimadora del orden social impuesto, de otro puede ser una crítica al desorden social y una alternativa a la realidad imperante. Si es lo primero, la religión se convierte en una propuesta de una falsa paz, si lo segundo la garante de la paz que nace de la verdad y la justicia. El autor se propone analizar tanto el concepto de globalización, diferenciando la globalización de la injusticia de la del amor, como el de religión, mostrando la diferencia entre una religión posmoderna y la religión profética. Por último, se establece la distinción entre la paz impuesta y la paz que nace de la justicia. Abstract: Religion has an ambiguous role in the globalized world because on one end of the continuum it may be legitimizing the imposed social order and on the other end, it may be critiquing the social disorder while insinuating an alternative to the prevailing reality. With the former, religion becomes a proposal for a false peace; with the latter, it becomes a guarantor of peace born out of truth and justice. The author attempts to analyze both concepts of globalization by differentiating the globalization of injustice from the globalization of love, as religion, showing the difference between postmodern religion and the prophetic religion. Finally, a distinction is established between the imposed peace and peace born from justice.
