Abstract

Reading the two curious letters sent by the Moorish wiseman Benahatin to Pedro the first to give him counsel, we will analyze the resources of the exemplary, prophetic and legendary narratives that are brought into play in these letters with the ends of constructing a political discourse inside the historical discourse.
