COMPETENCY MODEL OF SPECIALISTS' TRAINING FOR GEO-VISUALIZATION JOURNALISM

Abstract

The article represents the interdisciplinary integrative competency model of specialists' training oriented towards an activity focused on the creation of visual media. In the article, there are modern tendencies for application of geo-visualization scenarios for journalistic materials by the modern media identified and described. The interdisciplinary nature of the competence model content is well founded by comparing the needs of media and the content of competencies for such training areas as «Journalism», ((Cartography and Geo-informatics», «Informatics and Computer Engineering::, and «Statistics».
