Catalytic asymmetric dearomatization (CADA) reactions readily convert common aromatic compounds to diverse 3D chiral, polycyclic molecules. Here, the authors report an intermolecular asymmetric dearomatization of nucleophile-tethered α-naphthols affording functionalized cyclic ketones with high enantioselectivity.
