THE EVOLUTION OF TEACHING PRIMARY AND WORK SCHOOL IN OUR PAST RECENT HISTORICAL
Abstract
The Spanish educational landscape, during the time period between the first third of the nineteenth century and the decline of the Franco’s regime is truly disappointing. Political instability in the form of military pronouncements, civil wars, dictatorships and restorations marked our contemporary history, and the alternation in power of political parties with opposite ideologies (conservative versus leftist parties) were the cause of numerous reports, plans, regulations and education laws, which marked this period, remaining in print, without effective practical implementation, depriving us of the spirit of renewal, which in many cases inspired them; being used to extract the Spanish people from ignorance and moral negligence. This article discusses the history of these events.
