Objective: Analyzing the behavior to the PE and the indicators of health in obese adults in the pre and post bariatric surgery. Materials and Methods: By interviewing which was preceded the consultation with the nutritionist in the pre and post operative, information was collected before and after the surgery with regards to the behavior of the obese participants. Results: 11 individuals of both sexes between 20 and 54 years old (36,81 ± 9,71 years) the average of BMI (Body Mass Index) before the surgery was 39,98 ± 2,37, kg/m2 and after was 26,48 ± 3,13 kg/m2, most of the participants were women (81,81%); earning more than six minimum wages (54,54%); and (36,36%) of the participants were graduated university students. There was a significant reduction in the BMI post surgery when compared with the initial BMI of the patients. It was observed that the longer the surgery took the BMI of the participant was smaller. The participants found that there was a significant improvement to their health. In post surgery 11 (100%) of the participants started physical exercises programs. It was observed that there was an increase in frequency and intensity of the exercises prescribed as the participants completed their programs. The behavior regarding PE in general during pre surgery was not frequent and became more prevalent after the bariatric surgery was completed. Conclusion: The participation of one PE professional on the multidisciplinary team in the pre and post operative becomes essential for an adequate orientation and exercises prescriptions.
