AbstractThe tile painting of the court of Hazrat Suleiman the Prophet and the demons is one of the artistic examples of the Qajar period, which, in addition to the artistic and religious characteristics, shows the relationship between art, religion and politics in the Qajar period, which has not been introduced and investigated so far. This rare transom was offered at the Bonams auction in 2010 and shows the tradition of tile painting of the Qajar period. The purpose of the research is to investigate the layers of meaning and symbolic values derived from the visual existence of this tile painting as signs in the entire structure of the door and the two mentioned columns, how to draw, analyze and then explain the origin of their formation and the aspect to recognize the content and concepts of this neglected work of the Qajar period in its historical and social context and identify it with the criteria of the Qajar period. The question of the research is as follows: What structural features and visual elements does the tile painting of this door with inspiration from Hazrat Suleiman's court have? What themes are mentioned in the head of the door and columns and is it related? The present research method is descriptive, analytical and qualitative. Collecting information is in a documentary (library) way. The result of the research shows that the design of this pediment and columns was influenced by the art of the Qajar period with the influence of Western art in the field of Iranian culture and the politics of the relationship between religion and art in the Qajar period, and it provided the reasons for the fusion of the achievements of Iranian-Islamic and Western art.
