Internet Linguistics: one more Challenge for Galician Grammar and Teaching

After having overcome the moral panic initially aroused by the various digital genres and electronic discourse among the general public and among linguists and teachers, we should now reflect on the challenges that this phenomenon have addressed from a linguistic and teaching perspective. In this sense, we consider it necessary that the grammatical tradition and training begin to distinguish and accept different uses or levels of writing as natural, so that the analysis of digital discourse could be and end in itself. In particular, this work deepen especially those aspects that directly affect the Galician language grammar and its teaching, which in many cases has differential elements motivated from its particular sociolinguistic situation.
