Osteochondroma of the hyoid bone: A case report and review of the literature

Importance: To our knowledge, this is the second case of Osteochondroma of the hyoid bone in an adult patient and third overall. Objective: To present a case of an osteochondroma of the hyoid bone in a 62-year-old male and review the literature of osteochondromas in the head and neck regions. Design: Case report. Setting: Advent Health-Celebration in Orlando, FL. Participant: A 62-year-old male that presented with a chronic right neck mass. Exposure: Osteochondroma. Results: A multilobulated, 5.3 x 4.1 × 3.1 cm mass was excised. Conclusions: Pathology confirmed the diagnosis of Osteochondroma of the hyoid bone.
