VARIATIONS OF THE COMMUNICATIVE SENSE «FEAR» IN TEXTS ABOUT ZOMBIES IN ENGLISH AND UKRAINIAN LINGUAL CULTURES

Abstract

The article contains the comparative analysis of the actualization of the communicative sense «fear» on the textual level in English and Ukrainian works about zombies. So, the article is aimed at revealing the mechanisms of actualizing the communicative sense of the whole text that has zombie as the source of fear, and at the differentiation of theses sense variations. To achieve this aim the previous investigations on the topic have been analyzed; the conventionality of texts that bases on the relations of the source and the recipient of fear has been grounded; it has been proved that the regularity of explicating the variations of the communicative sense bases on the conventionality of texts about zombies. The research is exemplified by a number of text quotations that help make the conclusions mentioned.
