L’aide humanitaire de l’Union européenne au Mali : mythe ou réalité ? (2012-2022)
Abstract
The choice of EU humanitarian aid in Mali is explained, on the one hand, by the fact that this country has been facing an acute humanitarian crisis since the outbreak of the political and security crisis in 2012. On the other hand, although the country has benefited from international humanitarian aid, in particular that of the European Union since 2012, with a view to meeting the most urgent needs of the affected populations, the real situation has gradually deteriorated from 2012 to 2022 hence the usefulness of this study in order to understand the real scope of this aid. Reports and press releases from the United Nations Organization (UN), EU institutions and NGOs, etc., but also, the investigations in displaced camps, with the help of an interview guide, made it possible to highlight the evolution of the humanitarian crisis genereted by the security crisis and the EU humanitarian aid in Mali. They also revealed the low impact of humanitarian assistance on the lives of beneficiaries due to the scale of humanitarian needs and the low volume of humanitarian aid.
