Access of adolescent sexual and reproductive health (ASRH) services in urban squatters of Kathmandu valley, Nepal

Abstract

Background Initiation of early sexual activity and lack of adequate knowledge and skills for protection keeps adolescents at a higher risk of unwanted pregnancy, unsafe abortion and sexually transmitted infections including HIV/AIDS. High prevalence of early marriage and childbearing is associated with higher maternal mortality and morbidity.
