A scientific research uses the methods and techniques which contribute to the perception of a particular phenomenon from the scientific point of view, as well as the definition of research objectives and results. The accomplished scientific results have basically been gained by using the identified scientific methods and intellectual force of the scientists themselves. According to the universal coverage of science, there were found some differences in the usage of scientific methods in the study of certain fields (nature, society, their internal divisions, etc.). These differences have insufficiently been studied, which negatively affects the quality and objectivity of scientific knowledge. For these reasons, this paper addresses the issue of differences in the use of scientific methods in science generally speaking, as well as in economics, in order to thus contribute to the development of the theory and practice of a social research.
