Options for integrating architectural minimalism into the original site being renovated and modernized on the example of john pawson’s architecture

Abstract

The article examines architectural minimalism projects designed on the basis of buildings being reconstructed and, at the same time, modernized, using the example of the works (1995–2022) created by the minimalist architect John Pawson. The projects considered in the study were divided into four groups of integration options, which achieve a synthesis between the original object and architectural minimalism.
