Recuo da teoria: dilemas na pesquisa em educação
Abstract
The article deals with the growing retreat from theory in the realm of educational investigations. Such process addresses epistemological, ethical and political consequences that challenge the production of knowledge in this field. Two possible reasons for this process are: a) the rising of a ethos neodarwinist in the universities and the related degradation of the quality of the academic life, and b) the current epistemological scepticism that trivializes knowledge and thruth as well as the subtle linguistic exercise put into practice nowadays wich creates a new and pragmatic vocabulary aiming public resignation and obediency.
