This paper discusses the issue of mediasphere, which is defined as the media environment. It focuses on the pedagogical dimension of this environment, which becomes evident when the main strata of the mediasphere are considered, i.e. iconosphere, logosphere, sonosphere and galenosphere. The most important component of the mediasphere is the human being and he is the reason why the media environment has its own specific character and is, therefore, unique.Mediasphere supports the process of upbringing, and especially media formation, when it becomes a structured and organised environment. This can be observed mainly on the example of family, which is the optimal environment for media education. A structured mediasphere prevents upbringing mistakes and helps understand such phenomena as public opinion, information order, communication society and media addiction.
