One of the main factors of socio-economic development is proper and adequate for needs logistic infrastructure. Of course the infrastructure development needs huge amounts of funds which usually developing country cannot afford. But nowadays, the countries of East and Central Asian region faced new possibilities connected with the China New Silk Road initiative. The project aims to around 60 countries where most of them are enthusiastic to the idea, except India. India because of its geographical location and economic-political power in the region has significant meaning for the success of the project and that is why is in the center of Chinese diplomacy. The aim of the article is to analyze the needs and barriers of creating the logistic infrastructure of New Silk Road Initiative on the Indian territory. To find out what kind of needs Indian economy has for providing the development and what kind of doubts and prompts is India facing nowadays.
