This work aims to study the issue of family psychic transmission and reflect on the possibilities of collaboration with child psychodiagnostic. This is a theoretical study - reflexive, in which we use the psychoanalytic framework. We discuss the search for diagnoses for children and highlight the need for a more comprehensive look that consider the family group and the social context of these. We discussed about how to look at the child and his family group contributes to the understanding of the psychodiagnostic complaint and consider the concepts of psychoanalysis families can contribute to the completion of this process, since the look purely individual follows a demand where the symptom becomes something that a group member carries the bearer of familiar symptom. We believe that children should be rethought psychodiagnostic seeking possibilities of action that allow a more comprehensive look at the issue presented.
