1968 derrière le Rideau de fer

Abstract

In 1968, the student revolts in the East and the West broke out in very different conditions and made different demands. But their simultaneity did reveal something in common. These revolts had their roots deep in the crisis of the American and Soviet hegemonies and highlighted profound changes in the hierarchy of values. The author here seeks the cultural common denominator between March 68 in Poland and May 68 in France.
