URDU- A RESEARCH STUDY OF THE EDUCATIONAL PUBLICATION IN THE ERA OF HAZRAT UMAR (R.A)
Abstract
Education has always played a pivotal role in the development of the nations, Islam has specifically called its followers for the procurement of knowledge. At presently Muslims are out classed by other nations in the fields of knowledge and science, it is their own fault, but it does not imply that Muslims have ever ignored the importance of education or they have not performed feats in the realm of education. The history testifies with the examples of great inventions and deeds performed by the great Muslims scientists in the different fields of knowledge I-e. Religion science, medicine, engineering and geography etc. Acquiring education in the fundamental right of the common people and it can never be fulfilled until the support of the ruler of the state. The age of the caliphate Umar (R.A) is regarded as the golden period of history, when Islamic state fast expended and vast areas included in the Islamic domain, spreading education in the state is the prime responsibility of the ruler of the state. It is the prominent feature of the caliphate Umar (R.A) that he ruled the Islamic state with the best possible system of administration with innovation. He established the network of schools with teacher in all the nooks and corners of the state for the betterment of the masses.
