The following abstract belongs to the field of critical comparative studies aimed to further analyse and credit the poetry of Antonia Pozzi (1912-1938) and Daria Menicanti (1917-1995), 20th Century writers in Italy. Within the Italian literary system, their literature, not without difficulty and close relation with the conquests achieved by women on other grounds of the public sphere, has gained more space and visibility. This work wishes to present how these poets, modulating certain feelings related to the pain and psychological suffering, transform the experience in poetical matter and give voice to a peculiar horizon of intimacy, giving lyric the chance of self-awareness.
