Academic Institutional Repositories for Studies, Research and Preservation of Scientific Heritage in Latvia

Abstract

Institutional repositories enable the storage and sharing of scholarly information and are an essential element of open science. The study assesses the current status of institutional repositories in Latvian higher education institutions and provides an overview of the development, design and management of repositories, resource provision and access.
