Post kala azar dermal leishmaniasis in a castleman disease patient
Abstract
Post kala-azar dermal leishmaniasis (PKDL) is a rare disease. This is a solitary case report from Iran. We describe a case of PKDL in a 15-year-old boy with castleman disease (CD) who presented with multiple nodular lesions over face, ear, and extremities. The patient had a previous history of visceral leishmaniasis. Biopsy from skin nodules revealed Leishmania amastigotes.
