The analysis was carried out from sources such as reports from the Industrial Hygiene Service, reports from the Secretary of Health and Public Assistance, a scholarship card from the Rockefeller Foundation, the Annals of the Fifth Brazilian Hygiene Congress, theses from the Bahia Medical School and periodicals such as A Tarde, Diário de Notícias, and A Manhã. It is concluded that 1920s health services were created for workers as result of national and international interests, which expanded the network of assistance to workers in Salvador, Bahia.
