FOOD CRISIS IN THE NORTH CAUCASUS IN THE MIDDLE OF 1930 AND ITS IMPACT ON RELATIONS BETWEEN AUTHORITES AND PEASANT POPULATION

Abstract

The article studies the main causes of food supply crisis as regards the population of the North Caucasus in the summer of 1930. It shows their influence on the formation of Soviet agrarian relations in the region. The author concludes that food supply challenges in the North Caucasus region began long before the famine of 1932-1933.
