APPLICATION OF THE POLYGONS’ METHOD FOR THE ANALYSIS OF VOLGA FEDERAL DISTRICT’S REGIONS DIFFERENTIATION IN TERMS OF POPULATION’S SOCIAL COMFORT OF LIVING

Abstract

The article deals with the results of the analysis of Volga federal district’s regions differentiation in terms of population’s social comfort of living using the polygons. Constructed polygons represent a graphic image position of Volga federal district’s regions on the most important criteria of social comfort of living. Calculated indexes of social comfort of living in the regions of the Volga Federal District are an integral characteristic of the object under investigation. It suggests that there is a high degree of regions’ heterogeneity in terms of the integral indicator.
