Les savants chez l’imprimeur
Abstract
In the circle of scholars who gravitated around the printing shop of Christophe Plantin in Antwerp in the second half of the sixteenth century, physicians occupied a significant space. This article analyzes the role they played in the printed production of the Plantinian press, as well as their participation in the establishment of scholarly networks across Europe. Antwerp thus appears, by the print and its circulations, as one of their principal nodes.
