Doroshenko Str., 41, UA – 79000 Lviv, Ukraine The article exposes a problem of the practical use and protection of marker profiles of loess-soil series of the western Ukraine. In this work indicated on the possibility of the use of loess marker profiles for the necessities of education and science, and also their use as potential geotourist objects. The ball estimation of scientific and tourist potential of the investigated profiles is carried out. Objects with the greatest scientific potential and most perspective marker profiles for development of loess geotourism are certain. Key words: marker profile, loess-soil series, level of scientific potential of profile, tourist potential of marker profile. Стаття присвячена проблемі практичного використання і збереження опорних розрізів лесово-грунтової серії заходу України. В роботі вказано на можливість використання опорних розрізів для потреб освіти і науки, а також як потенційних геотуристичних об’єктів. Проведено бальну оцінку наукового і туристичного потенціалу досліджуваних опорних розрізів лесово-ґрунтової серії регіону. Визначено об’єкти з найвищим науковим потенціалом та найперспективніші опорні розрізи для розвитку лесового геотуризму. Ключові слова: опорний розріз, лесово-грунтова серія, рівень наукового потенціалу розрізу, туристичний потенціал опорного розрізу.
